Submissions on "GST and financial services" close this week

The closing date for submissions on the government discussion document "GST and financial services" is 6 December. Released on 8 October, the discussion document outlines proposed changes to the GST treatment of financial services. The main proposal is to broaden the ambit of GST to include business-to-business supplies of financial services, zero-rating them rather exempting them. For more information, see "Making a submission".
