Budget tax bills enacted

Legislation introduced as the Budget Measures (Miscellaneous Fiscal Matters) Bill and the Budget Measures (Financial Support for Newborn Children) Bill on 15 May as part of Budget 2014 received Royal assent on 19 May – see the resulting Cheque Duty Repeal Act 2014 and the Taxation (Parental Tax Credit) Act 2014.
