Life insurance review paper released
An officials' paper on the scope of the government's review of the life insurance tax rules was released today for consultation. The paper, which discusses problems with the current tax rules and possible directions of reform, is intended as a basis for discussion with the life insurance industry over the next two months, after which further consultative papers will be prepared. Feedback is welcomed though formal submissions are not required. For more information see "Life insurance tax reform: officials' paper no 1 – scope of the review".
