Australia-NZ child support agreement in force from 1 July

The child support agreement between Australia and New Zealand, signed yesterday in Canberra, will come into force on 1 July. The reciprocal agreement allows Australia to enforce payment of child support from parents living there who have children in New Zealand, and New Zealand to enforce payment from parents living here who have children in Australia. The two countries will also be allowed to supply each other with details of liable parents' income and addresses.
