The Minister of Revenue today released a supplementary order paper to the Taxation (Annual Rates, Returns Filing, and Remedial Matters) Bill, which is currently before the Finance and Expenditure Select Committee. Supplementary Order Paper No. 1 contains technical amendments to the look-through company and limited partnership provisions to clarify definitions used in the deduction limitation rules.

Two Orders-in-Council originally made after the September 2010 Canterbury earthquake have been extended to ensure that support for Canterbury residents continues. These allow Inland Revenue to remit interest on tax paid late because of the earthquakes and the other allows Inland Revenue to share certain information with other government agencies in order to continue service delivery.
